On Scarborough beach - poem

This poem was written at 5:30 in the morning in that half waking state the seaside side memories of my youth merged with my feelings about poetry.

Scarborough Seafest 2008

A great event for all the family held in Scarborough.

Stuart and Rosie are writers and performers based in Scarborough UK. They are aiming to produce a range of exciting and innovative productions within North Yorkshire and further afield.

In the mid 1990’s Stuart and Rosie co-founded the Northern Shakespeare group and appeared in a production of Macbeth at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Two years later they performed in their own production of Odin’s Web, which faithfully retold the Norse legends.

The two were organisers of a drama workshop called Phoneix Pig based in West Yorkshire. The group regularly won awards at festivals throughout the North of England including the Wharfedale Music and Drama festival, where they won the Diana Rigg Trophy for several years running. Phoenix Pig evolved into an experimental company which ran courses for students of all ages and acting experience
